Teachers' Day

Balloons on the blackboards, a gift from every class and a photograph with each teacher.

Students took over the decorations for the day — every classroom had its own “Happy Teachers' Day” board — and each class invited its teachers in for a small celebration, a gift and a photograph.

Students and staff then came together in a hall hung with balloons for a shared celebration, with a few words from the school podium.

80th Independence Day

Flag hoisting, the national anthem and seventy-two performances on one stage.

The day began with the hoisting of the tricolour and the national anthem. Shri Puran Mahto, former Principal of Atka High School, Bagodar, joined us as chief guest.

Students then presented 72 items — patriotic songs, dances, speeches and plays — compèred by students themselves. The programme closed with sweets for everyone and the campus ringing with “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.

Rakhis for our soldiers

A Rakhi Making Competition with India Post — every rakhi sent to an Indian Army jawan.

Held jointly with the Department of Posts, the competition drew students from the youngest classes to the seniors. They worked with coloured thread, beads, pearls and eco-friendly material to make rakhis by hand.

All of the rakhis were handed to India Post to be delivered to soldiers serving on the border — a small message of thanks from Bagodar.

International Yoga Day

The whole school out on the grass, after more than a week of practice.

Students filled the playground in rows for asanas and breathing exercises, with the school building behind them. Practice sessions had begun more than a week earlier.

Senior students finished with group formations — balances, headstands and a star laid out on the grass.

Class X in their blazers, a gift for every student and a last photograph together.

Teachers and juniors gathered to send off the outgoing Class X batch. Every student was called on stage to receive a memento from a teacher.
